Fascinating insight into the 'backstage' of this piece, which I happened to come across when it was exhibited in 2010. The electronics and mechanics obviously come from another age, and it is interesting to think of restoring them in the spirit of their times rather than upgrading them to contemporary technology. If you haven't thought of it already, it would be nice to display the video you linked to on a screen beside the Tap Dancer when it is next exhibited.
