While the recently relaunched Return to Palmyra online exhibition invites visitors to rediscover the ancient trading center and explore its influential culture, we invited our partners in the Middle East to curate a complementary playlist consisting of traditional and contemporary music celebrating the region and its rich cultural and musical heritage.

Our online experience features words and visual resources that bring to life the Syrian city’s transformation over time, and this Spotify playlist brings home (to wherever you may be listening) songs of love, romance, longing to return, and the sounds of Syrian and Middle Eastern artists with traditional instruments. Listen in while you explore the online exhibition (available in both Arabic and English).
