Need to conjure up additional alchemy? A selection of books is now available in the Research Library’s Plaza Reading Room to accompany the Research Institute’s current exhibition The Art of Alchemy. The books will be on reserve in this location through February 12, 2017.

These books also complement the items – magically! – digitized in The Getty Alchemy Collection and the Manly Palmer Hall collection of alchemical manuscripts, circa 1500-1825.

Are you conducting any exhibition in India?
We do not have any exhibition in India. We’ve had events at the Getty Center related to India. In October 2016, there was a talk about the book Incarnations: India in 50 Lives and a few years ago there was a workshop called Exhibiting the Art of India: Dilemmas & Discourses of Display. Additionally, India is mentioned in some of The Iris (the Getty’s blog) posts. If you have further questions please let us know!
