Join a Reference Librarian for a 30-minute overview of the Library Catalog.

Learn the basics and ask questions too!

• When: Mondays at 3:00 p.m. or Thursdays at 11:00 a.m.

• Where: Plaza Seminar Room (*new location starting July 1*)

• What: Topics covered include searching, saving records and searches, requesting material, and overview of the “my account” feature.

Seating is first come first served. Reservations are not required.

The Flemish paintings and drawings section of the Photo Archive will be unavailable for consultation from July 1, 2019, until approximately Spring 2020 while it is digitized.

The material will be digitized as part of PhotoTech, a Getty Research Institute project that will explore how photo archives might be used to enable advanced research into issues of cultural and artistic influence, historical transmission of visual ideas, and networks of exchange. PhotoTech will employ digital methodologies such as rapid image capture, computer vision, and machine learning to process and analyze images at scale.

Thursday, July 4
The library will be closed to all readers, Getty staff, Getty scholars, and docents/volunteers.

Friday, July 5
Library services will be closed, including the Reference, Circulation, Interlibrary Loan desks and the Special Collections Reading Room.
No library access will be provided to Plaza Readers and Stack Readers; however, Extended Readers, Getty staff, Getty scholars, and docents/volunteers may use the library.

Monday, July 8 – Friday, July 12
The Special Collections Reading Room will be closed for annual maintenance projects. All other Library services will be open and available as usual.
