Bruce Nauman Studio

Bruce Nauman moved to Southern California in 1969 and settled in Pasadena for nearly a decade. Like many artists in the 1960s and 1970s, Nauman was attracted to Pasadena by the lower rents and larger spaces than were available in Los Angeles. Nauman’s studio was on the second floor of a two-story building near this location on Green Street, which was only a couple blocks from Judy Chicago, Lloyd Hamrol, and numerous other artists’ studios.
