Los Angeles Filmforum
Despite a humble inaugural show in a living room in Altadena in the mid-1970s, Los Angeles Filmforum is currently the city’s longest running exhibitor of experimental film and video. Conceived of as a non-profit that would bring documentary, avant-garde, and independent cinema to the artistic community of Pasadena, Filmforum soon found a home at a local community arts center and provided a hub for an ever-expanding community of artists and film-lovers to communicate and collaborate.
