Baum Silverman Gallery

Jan Baum and Iris Silverman opened their gallery at this location in Los Angeles in 1977 and alternated shows of work by local contemporary artists, such as Betye Saar and Chris Burden, with exhibitions of African art. After Silverman’s death, Baum reopened the gallery in 1981 on La Brea Avenue.
