Dilexi Gallery, one of the avant-garde exhibition spaces in San Francisco in the 1950s and 1960s, was owned and operated by Jim Newman and Robert Alexander. In 1962, Newman opened this short-lived branch in Los Angeles with Rolf Nelson, who would go on to establish his own space in 1963.
