Exodus Gallery

Exodus Gallery was established in San Pedro, a district of Los Angeles near the harbor, by artist Conner Everts. During its few years of operation in the latter half of the 1950s, Exodus mounted early exhibitions of work by artists such as Wallace Berman, Edward Kienholz, and John Wesley. When Wallace Berman’s 1957 exhibition at Ferus Gallery was shut down by the Los Angeles vice squad, it was remounted at Exodus shortly afterwards.
