In Mourning and In Rage

In 1977, prompted by media coverage of the Hillside Strangler, a serial killer who targeted women, Suzanne Lacy and Leslie Labowitz-Starus produced In Mourning and In Rage, a media performance that took place on the steps of L.A.’s City Hall. It extended the series of performances earlier that year that were part of Three Weeks in May.
