Poster for Ed Moses exhibition

Especially in the early years of her gallery, Riko Mizuno worked with many of the artists who had shown with the Ferus Gallery, which had closed in 1967.  These artists included Billy Al Bengston, Ken Price, Robert Irwin, and Ed Moses. For his first show with her, Moses produced this poster, featuring his dog. The kanji (Asian characters) on the right edge transliterate Ed Moses’s name into Japanese. It was perhaps an endearing wink at the dealer’s Japanese origins.
