Jean Milant founded Cirrus Editions and Cirrus Gallery simultaneously in 1970 in Hollywood. In its early years, Cirrus produced prints by Terry Allen, Ed Ruscha, Craig Kauffman, Vija Celmins; it continues to work with Californian artists. Together with Gemini G.E.L. and Tamarind Lithography Workshop, Cirrus helped establish Los Angeles as a center of printmaking.
