Everett Ellin Gallery

In 1960 Everett Ellin opened his second Los Angeles gallery at this location, where he showed the work of prominent American artists, such as Jasper Johns, Arshile Gorky, and David Smith. Ellin sponsored the French artist Niki de Saint Phalle’s first U.S. shooting action (though the event took place not in the gallery, but in the Malibu Hills). Ellin folded in 1963.
