Norman Zammitt Studio
In 1964, artist Norman Zammitt moved into a storefront studio at this location that had earlier been occupied by artist Ed Ruscha. (The building was later dismantled to make way for the Verdugo off-ramp of the State Route 2 freeway). Here, Zammitt shifted his focus from painting to abstract sculpture, creating geometric three-dimensional works out of acrylic resins. He moved his studio back to Pasadena in 1972.
