The Getty Center and Getty Villa closed to the public beginning Saturday, March 14, 2020, as the region worked to minimize the spread of coronavirus COVID-19.

The closure has impacted the J. Paul Getty Museum locations at the Getty Center in Los Angeles and Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades, as well as the gardens and grounds, and the Getty Research Institute galleries and Getty Library at the Getty Center.

Now, we look forward to welcoming visitors to both locations as soon as possible, likely in phases beginning in mid-April 2021. Read the statement and see media contact information here.
