I’m a multi-media installation artist from Istanbul, Turkey. Artistic research constitutes the core of my practice, and my works explore wide-ranging themes, including issues of exile, post-colonial identity, censorship, and cultural difference which unfold in different mediums, ranging from sculpture to performance, photography to sound.
I received my BA from Emory University and recently completed my MFA at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). During my 2017–18 graduate internship at the Getty Research Institute, I worked on various projects such as the Florentine Codex Project, the Bauhaus online exhibition, and the exhibition Artists and Their Books/ Books and Their Artists.
