my name is: Elisabeth Sillars

i'm sharing: This photo was made at the Getty Villa recently and is from a series I am calling "Draped in Stone," a photographic exploration of the carver's art in representing the movement and fluidity of fabric in sculpture.

this was inspired by: The current exhibition at the Getty Center called "The Art of the Fold," celebrating the same aspect of representation in drawing .

to me, inspiration is: I am inspired constantly by suggestion, by thought, by observation.
