      This patron goes full-on Minerva and protects her son with a shield while her husband is away. Also, an owl.

      Oh, I always loved this sculpture!  If I remember correctly, the son is leaning on his father’s sword?  But I haven’t visited it in ages and it’s hard to tell in these pics.

      Indeed! He’s propped up on a pile of armor and is indeed holding a dagger or sword too big for him in his right hand. Maybe easier to see here?
