Asha’s Baba Stories…

August 21st, 2009

Hi Everyone!!! I really LOVED the oral language of Asha’s Baba and how this style makes learning interesting and exciting. I am also very interested in trying (I hope to be successful) to teach through stories. I feel the students really pay attention and remember them. Does anyone out there know where I can get more stories that pertain to 4th grade? I know between all of us…. we do not have to reinvent the wheel! Doesn’t it make sense that the very first learning was pasted down through stories and song?!

Hi teachers, I received an email from Baba the Storyteller, and he recommends “Stories from Around the World” by Heather Amery. He said that he would also “encourage teachers to reach within for their own stories to share.”
