I'm an intern at the Getty Research Institute and have been working in the Scholars Program since 2009. I've also begun my senior year at the University of California, Los Angeles, as an art history major. I'm thankful and excited to be part of the Getty—which is such a dynamic and innovative place—and to learn what it takes to maintain and grow such an institution.

      Art history, statistics, network science, and informatics converge in a new study in Science magazine that maps European cultural history through birth and death dates of notable figures, using data from the Getty Union List of Artist Names.

      BONUS! It’s one of the first art history papers ever published in a peer-reviewed science magazine.
