Escaping the Hustle and Bustle

Escaping the Hustle and Bustle

my name is: Sylvia

i'm sharing: Wood installation, called "Fata Morgana"

this was inspired by: When I came to Los Angeles and started visiting first the Getty Villa and then shortly after the Getty Center, a one of a kind love affair started. For me it is always a big pleasure to walk the grounds, smell the scent of the roses and herbs, intake the magnificent architecture and the groundbreaking views. The museums are an all in all “one big art piece” and alone taking a stroll, getting out of the hustle and bustle of the big city, then that is what it feels like, entering a peaceful and calm world, gives me satisfaction and inspiration. That is the only thing I do sometimes; I go for a walk and take in the splendor of the marvelous gardens and the startling architecture. The restaurants invite me to linger and gratify your palate. At the time I leave I feel rejuiced, reenergized and transformed. Thank you Getty!

to me, inspiration is: Everything around me
